ESCAPE WITH THE ARTS

"Helping young hearts heal through creativity."

Escape With The Arts is an extension of Escape From Poverty's Foundation of Success, born from the hearts of two graduates who wanted to be proactive against the pain and struggles of every kind of poverty.

Creativity allows children to process emotions and find peace. Art provides a safe, constructive way to cope with life's challenges, and we want every child to have that opportunity, equipped with tools, healthy coping skills, and fun ways of expression.

MISSION

We provide interactive teaching of healthy coping skills through creativity for ages 5 to 15. By nurturing self-expression and emotional resilience, we equip children with what they need to face adulthood with confidence and strength.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A SESSION

Each session is 30 minutes or more, and multiple sessions can be scheduled. Every session includes a topic with skills, a hands-on activity, guided discussion, and a take-home resource.

Example topics: Power of Place, How Our Emotions and Behaviors Impact Others, Letting Go of the "Yucky" Stuff, Name It to Tame It, Big Feelings Safe Choices, When I Mess Up, Power of Honor, Respect for Authority.

Skills built: emotional awareness and regulation, emotional literacy, impulse control, mindfulness and self-regulation, accountability and growth mindset, conflict resolution, environmental awareness and emotional expression.

WHY IT MATTERS

Without healthy coping skills, children carry that gap into adulthood, showing up as increased instability, weaker community connection, and struggles that persist despite a parent's best effort and hard work. Escape With The Arts exists to close that gap early, while creativity can still do its work.

WHO IT'S FOR

Organizations get reduced behavioral issues, structured activities, and stronger teamwork and connection among the children they serve. Children build confidence, creativity, emotional resilience, and healthy conflict resolution. Parents see more emotionally aware kids, better behavior at home and school, and children developing real leadership and self-love skills. For those seeking spiritual growth (optional), sessions can build trust in God's plan and deepen identity, compassion, and forgiveness.
